CS Hydrotherapy is owned and managed by Caroline Hill, who has thirteen years experience of handling and owning dogs. It is our aim to provide a friendly and professional service, making sure that not only the owner feels comfortable and relaxed, but more importantly the dog.

Caroline’s interest in canine hydrotherapy arose when her 10 year old border collie bitch, called Lady, was suffering from severe arthritis and spinal problems. She was advised by her vet to give Lady complete rest, as you can imagine trying to rest a border collie was a nightmare. So Caroline asked if it was possible for Lady to go swimming, as it was recommended for humans, so why couldn't dogs benefit from it.

Although on first discussion with her vet, it was an excellent idea, it was then that Caroline realised the lack of hydrotherapy pools available for canines.

Caroline eventually found a pool, although it was a 45 minute drive away, where Lady swam twice a week for a period of 8 weeks. Lady made a full recovery, and this prompted Caroline to continue to swim lady on a fortnightly basis due to benefits. This also prompted Caroline to set up and run CS Hydrotherapy, providing a local and modern canine facility.
